Spruce Trees:

• keep soil consistently moist but not water logged

• water daily for the first 10 days

• gradually reduce water over the next 4 days (up to day 14)

• check soil and water accordingly, every 5-7 days

• if your soil is high in clay with minimal drainage, water less, if your soil drains quickly, you'll have to water more often... You be the judge by checking for damp/dryness.

• mulch (2"-3") on-top will help with moisture retention (avoid contacting the trunk if possible)

• taper off watering as colder temperatures set in

• stop watering when in dormancy
